  • Describe when screening tests are important and why some commonly ordered tests may not be indicated
  • Be able to list the proper screening guidelines, correct age to start and stop, and interval for screening for mammograms, Pap smears, bone mineral density tests, lipid levels and glucose levels
  • Explain when an X-ray is indicated for back pain and when it is not
  • Describe the judicious use of antibiotics for upper respiratory tract infections
