• Recognize the clinical features of hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism
• Propose an initial plan for work-up of the patient presenting with new onset thyroid symptoms including biochemical and radiological testing
• Have an approach to the primary care management of hypothyroidism
• Describe an approach to investigating and managing thyroid nodules
