About

Background

Welcome to the Hub – Medical Psychiatry, an online resource for second and third year medical students learning about integrated physical and mental health care (medical psychiatry) at the University of Toronto.

The Medical Psychiatry Hub resources have been designed to build on the Week 64 Foundations Curriculum teaching to provide online videos, presentations and guides related to integrated physical and mental health care. The Medical Psychiatry Hub content is meant to be a supplementary resource for your clerkship rotations and core curricula.

Content

All content on the Hub Medical Psychiatry was created by consultation with the MD Program Medical Psychiatry Committee and key content leads designed the content with iterative feedback from faculty and learners. The aim of this content is to assist with common clinical scenarios encountered in Medical Psychiatry. Resources focus on assessment of complexity and capacity in medical settings and guide learners on how to formulate a management plan based on these assessment approaches.

Hub contents related to Medical Psychiatry will be reviewed annually to determine if they are current and if additional resources need to be provided. We welcome additional suggestions related to medical psychiatry for this Hub content area. Please contact the mpa.ume@mail.utoronto.ca email (see Contact tab) for information and an opportunity to be involved.

Ownership

The website is owned by the MD Program Medical Psychiatry Committee at the University of Toronto.
