The Trans and Gender Diverse (TGD) Health Modules were developed to enhance medical education and clinical competency in providing inclusive, affirming care for transgender and gender diverse individuals. Originally created for medical students at the University of Toronto, these seven self-directed online modules are also appropriate for residents, faculty, and interprofessional learners. The modules cover foundational and clinical topics including terminology and epidemiology, social determinants of health, sexual and reproductive health, mental health, care of TGD youth, hormone therapy, and gender-affirming surgeries. Designed to complement in-person teaching, they can be integrated into existing curricula or used independently to support faculty and learners in diverse settings. If intended to be integrated into curricula, or for inquiries about implementation or collaboration, please contact md.reception@utoronto.ca.
