Background

Welcome to The Hub – Family Medicine, the online study guide for the third year medicine clerkship course in Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto.

This online guide was created to address students’ need for up to date, relevant and distilled resources for clinical reference and study during the Family and Community Medicine rotation. Our revised Hub is designed to provide references and resources for all core objectives for the course, and it should be used to complement the clinical experiences and seminars that students encounter during their rotation.

Content

The content that is referenced on The Hub includes journal articles, guidelines, videos and online learning modules.  Where we have been able to obtain permission from the copyright holder, resources have been posted on the website.  Other resources may be accessed by following the links listed under each topic.  Please note that some articles may only be accessed through a University of Toronto networked computer.

The content for each topic has been reviewed by at least two University of Toronto faculty members to ensure the appropriateness of the information. The content will be reviewed on an annual basis to ensure that it is kept up to date.

Ownership

The website is owned by the Undergraduate Education Committee of the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto.
